How can I find out what sports teams or fun classes are offered in Ottawa?

I have been browsing online for awhile and cannot find any interesting classes or non-competetive sports teams in Ottawa, preferably the Barrhaven/Nepean area. Does anyone know any websites on classes or sports or anything recreational?

1. Yes, this guide is the main one - I pick it up 3 times a year for activities, sports and courses for myself and my entire family! A lot of the activities are free, some of the classes/courses and workshops require you to pay for your working materials, but it's not a high cost. And there is a Community Center in every region of the city. I'm holding the Guide as we speak, - you can pick one up yourself at any: Food Basics Public Library Canadian Tire.. 2. If you can drop in at Walter Baker on Malvern Drive the staff there have a lot of info on programs.
3. The City of ottawa put out a sports/activity guide each season. The new one for the fall/winter just came out not to long ago. you can pick it up at various stores or go to the city of ottawa website and look at the book online
